Questions, answered
Will it damage my furniture?
No. The Ralora Scratch Shield uses a single-sided, residue-free adhesive that peels away clean — no sticky mess, no pulled threads, no peeled paint — even after months in place.
Is it safe for my cat?
Completely. It's made from non-toxic, clear film and nothing is ever applied to your pet. It simply removes the rough, grippable surface cats love to dig into — so they naturally lose interest.
How do I install it?
Wipe the area clean, peel off the backing, press it on, and smooth down the edges. Trim with scissors for a custom fit, and use the included 50 twist pins on high-use corners for extra hold. No tools required.
Will it actually stop the scratching?
Yes. The smooth, firm surface gives claws nothing to catch, so most cats lose interest within days and rebuild the habit somewhere they're allowed to scratch.
Which surfaces does it work on?
It works best on woven and fabric upholstery, wood, and painted doors. We don't recommend it for leather, faux-leather, velvet, or microfiber, as the adhesive won't hold reliably on those materials.
